Jack caught his first ono at the age of 4. He wanted to give the fish to his teachers at Creative Day Preschool. The teachers were thrilled to get fresh ono. The owner of the school called upon long time friend and restauranteur Sam Choy. Sam's granddaughter was attending the school at the time, so he was a regular visitor there. Sam came to the school and cooked the ono for all of the teachers, using a variety of his favorite recipes.
